maggi puff recipe | maggi bread puff | maggi bread pockets with step by step photo and video recipe. puff patties or any baked snacks are super popular in India, especially with younger generations. however, preparing the puff pastry can be tricky and requires a lot of effort and dedication to get the same result as external vendors unless you use store-bought sheets. to avoid this stress, you may also use leftover bread slices with the popular maggi stuffing known as maggi bread puff.
this recipe of maggi bread puff is very similar to my other bread snacks with only the difference of stuffing. in my all other stuffed bread snacks, the stuffing was limited to only spiced vegetables, but this snack is stuffed with maggi noodles. the uniqueness of this recipe is not the noodles stuffing but the spice mix added with maggi masala makes it unique. in other words, if you add any other noodles as stuffing you may not get the same taste as the maggi noodles. perhaps this would be the key reason to be liked by the kids too. my personal liking for this recipe is to do with the leftover bread slices. every week we begin with toast and sandwiches for breakfast, but end up with leftover bread slices to be finished by mid-week. there is no other better way to finish it with combination bread and maggi.
furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variants to the popular maggi puff recipe. firstly, the stuffing or the maggi has to be dry or in other words, prepare it with less moisture. excess moisture may damage the bread slices and hence may not be easy to fold and shape. secondly, the recommended bread slices are white sandwich bread slices which are easy to roll and pin. you may use other types of bread slices but may not yield the same crisp and taste. lastly, applying or coating the bread slices with breadcrumbs is optional and can be skipped if you do not have access to it. you may also apply crushed corn flakes, rusk powder and even semolina.
finally, i request you to check my other related snacks recipes collection with this post of maggi puff recipe. it mainly includes my other related recipes like maggi pizza, maggi noodles, noodles cutlet, maggi pakoda, susla, veg puff, murmura, girmit, pizza puff, bread samosa. further to these i would also like to mention my other related recipe categories like,
