HeyFood offers an optional 'Pro' auto-renewable subscription service. It renews each month following a 7 day free trial period.

• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase
• Three subscription durations are available: monthly, quarterly or yearly, during which users will be able to access HeyFood's premium features
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable

SO annoying

When you FORCE people to download an app just to see how to make the recipe, you alienate your customer base. I don’t want to download ANOTHER app just to see the method you’re gatekeeping and THEN create an account. Screw this toxic practice. If you had a good site that presented good recipes in an aesthetic manner and there was a good reason to get an app for it (multi measurements, screen not closing, etc) maybe you’d get more people downloading. Forget you, I’d rather my meal taste like chalk by winging the method. ..l..

Unbearably buggy even in browser

UPDATE: The company is continuing to charge us when we didn’t even know we had signed up for Pro account. PRO account doesn’t work, The app doesn’t work and NOBODY will respond to emails. There is no way in app or any browser to access settings to remove our card info. A total scam!!

The app is nearly unusable. On iPhone, on android, in browser, it gets stuck in loops, doesn’t give you the number of palling days you tell it to, won’t login, loses your Meal plan and grocery list (and on and on). Which is really sad because it seems like it would be perfect for what we need and we like the recipes when we can get it to work long enough to use it.
